soak yellow moongdal-1 cup for 2-3 hours along with a handful of sonamasoori rice.grind the dal and rice with green chillies-5-6,ginger-1"piece,salt along with water to obtain dosa batter consistency.heat a nonstick pan and pour 2 or 3 ladles of batter and make the dosa by spreading the batter in a circular motion with the same ladle.with the help of a spoon pour 1/2 a tsp of refined oil around the dosa and let it brown on a medium to high flame.once it is light brown and fried, fold and remove to a plate.serve with ginger or coconut chutney.take finely chopped onions and cumin seeds.add little salt to them and nicely crush them with fingers.sprinkle them on the dosa immediately after spreading the dosa.this is optional.
