RIDGEGOURD AND DRY SHRIMP

peel and chop ridgegourds-2.sometimes they turn out to be bitter.cut a small piece from each ridgegourd and taste.if one piece is bitter then throw away that particular ridgegourd.clean and nicely wash the dried prawns for 2-3 times and soak in water for 10 min.take a pan and heat it up with 3 tsp oil,1/2 tsp mustard seeds,curry leaves-1 sprig,fry them and tip in chopped onion-1,turmeric-1/4 tsp,salt-1/4 tsp.when the onion turns translucent then tip in the soaked prawns and fry for a min.now add ridgegourd.

fry for a min and add water-1 cup and cover.open it after a min and add red chilli pd.

cover again and cook until the ridgegourd is soft.
